NOT is designed to help youth:
· stop smoking or reduce the number of cigarettes smoked
· increase healthy lifestyle behaviors
· improve life management skills.
NOT is a voluntary, ten-session
comprehensive cessation and education program. Nearly 90% of NOT
participants are successful at either quitting completely or at
least reducing their smoking.
AtS can be offered as an option
to students who face suspension for violating a school's tobacco
use policy.
It consists of four sessions that
address tobacco use, addiction and healthy alternatives to
smoking.
