Eligibility: County home owners with private sewage systems.
Purpose: To ensure trouble-free household sewage disposal systems.
Description: The Environmental Health Division designs and approves all plans for new or modified septic systems, or the repair of systems built in Greene county.
Services include:
• approval of lot specifications and system placement as defined by State and local regulation
• analysis of soil characteristics to determine sewage treatment capability
• consultation on functioning and malfunctioning systems.
