Greene County Combined Health District Receives

Women’s Health Week Grant

(Xenia, OH) The Greene County Combined Health District (GCCHD) is pleased to announce an award of $1,300.00 for Women’s Health Week, May 11- 17, 2008 from the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Prevention Program, Bureau of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, Office of Healthy Ohio, Ohio Department of Health, and the Wright State University Center for Healthy Communities AHEC Region IV.

The award will be used to sponsor “A Morning of Women’s Health Empowerment” workshop scheduled to be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the Herman Menapace Center located at the Greene Memorial Hospital, 1141 N. Monroe Drive in Xenia, OH. This women’s health empowerment workshop featuring Dr. Ngozi Osuagwu, an award winning author and gynecologist, will provide education and discussion for a better understanding of the female body and the medical conditions which affect women.
