Greene County Combined Health District receives

Women’s Health Month Grant

(Xenia, OH) The Greene County Combined Health District  (GCCHD) is pleased to announce an award of $1,300.00 for Women’s Health Month, September 2007 from the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Prevention Program, Ohio Department of Health, Bureau of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, and Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Wright State University Center for Healthy Communities

The money will be used to sponsor a Morning of Empowerment, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at the Herman Menapace Center located at the Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, OH.  This women’s health empowerment workshop, will address women’s health and wellness issues with “plain truths and straightforward advice” from featured speaker Dr. Ngozi Osuagwa, a female gynecologist and author whose topics will include; practical tips to keeping healthy, exercise, nutrition, balance of mind, body, & spirit, tobacco prevention, stress reduction and other health facts that will leave you inspired and motivated.
