Greene County Combined Health District To Hold a

stand Recruitment Event

(XENIA, OH)  The Greene County Combined Health District (GCCHD) has announced that it will hold a stand recruitment event on Monday, March 19^th at the Panera on Fairfield Rd.  The event will be from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.  Youth and young adults, ages 12-24 are invited to attend.

stand is the statewide tobacco counter-marketing campaign of the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation.  It was started in 2002 and is a “by kids, for kids” outreach program.  It is a mulit-faceted communications effort (advertising, public relations, grassroots, interactive, empowerment) that reaches out to Ohio youth through uniquely branded advertising and outreach activities.  Employing a bold and edgy attitude, stand aims to empower youth to “stand up and speak out against tobacco use” and become the first generation not addicted to tobacco.
