Greene
County Agencies Collaborate to Offer
Dining with Diabetes Program
(XENIA,
OH) The Greene County Combined Health District and the Ohio State University
Extension Office, Greene County, are sponsoring the three-class series Dining
with Diabetes.
The
program is open to the public. The series is designed to give people with
diabetes information to help them make healthy food choices, cook healthy
versions of foods that are easy to prepare and teach cooking techniques using
healthful ingredients.
The
three-class series will be held at the OSU Extension Office, 100 Fairground Rd.,
Xenia on Thursdays, October 27th, November 3rd and November 10th from
6 – 8 p.m.
Each
class includes health instruction, cooking demonstrations, tasting healthy foods
and exercise demonstration.
Each
participant will receive a notebook containing nutritional information and will
be eligible to win door prizes.
The
cost of the program is $30.00 (this covers the registrant and a guest).
