 Radon Resistant Construction Seminar
Offered Free of Charge

(Xenia, OH) Greene County Combined Health District in partnership with the Regional Air Pollution Control Agency, and the Ohio Department of Health is presenting a free educational seminar, Radon Resistant Construction.

 The seminar, Radon Resistant Construction, will be held at the following sites on Wednesday, February 23rd:  Ohio Valley Builders and Contractors Association, Inc., located at 33 Greenwood Avenue, near the Route 73 and I-75 exchange in Springboro, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; and Miami County Homebuilders Association, Peoples Bank Conference Room, 14 South Westin Street, Troy, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

 Mr. Bill Brink, a professional engineer and licensed radon mitigation specialist with the state of Ohio, will address construction methods that prevent radon gas from entering buildings. Radon is a natural, odorless, radioactive gas that poses a risk for lung cancer.

 The seminar is open to all area builders, contractors, plumbers, electricians, and architects. Refreshments will be provided.  This educational opportunity will benefit building professionals who are interested in providing a radon safety option to their clients. Registration is limited.
