Greene County Combined Health District
Received 200 Doses of Children’s Flu Vaccine
from the Ohio Department of Health

(Xenia, OH) The Greene County Combined Health District’s (GCCHD) Health Commissioner, Mark McDonnell announced today that the Health District received 200 doses of children’s flu vaccine from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).

Due to the limited supply of the vaccine, the vaccinations will be provided only to children who are Greene County residents. Vaccine will be available for the following age groups: infants 6 – 23 months; children, ages 24 months to 18 years, who are on long term aspirin therapy or have a chronic health condition (must provide a physician’s note); and children, ages 24 months to 18 years, who are household contacts of infants 0  - 6 months of age.

Immunization for children will be provided Tuesday, December 7th at the Health District office located at 360 Wilson Drive, Xenia beginning at 8:00 a.m. The flu shots will be provided on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. Cost is $14.00. Medicaid accepted.

GCCHD has not received any information from the Ohio Department of Health regarding additional flu vaccine.
