Greene

and Three Area Universities
Host HIV Prevention Presentations
(Xenia, OH) Greene County Combined
Health District’s (GCCHD) HIV Health Education and Risk Reduction Program will
be co-hosting HIV Prevention Presentations on Tuesday, January 27, 2004.
GCCHD in collaboration with
Antioch College Counseling Services, Wilberforce University Office of Student
Affairs, and Wittenberg University Student Health Services will host three
presentations of, The Down Low Phenomenon and Outreach to the Community, by
Mr. Robert Burns, Brother’s Collective Director of the Masonic Center in
Philadelphia and Mr. Louis Farmer from the AIDS Task Force of Greater Cleveland.
The Down Low Phenomenon and
Outreach to the Community, is an examination of sexual relationships,
tolerance and understanding the cultural and behavioral issues and how it
relates to health and disease prevention.
Three presentations will be
held on January 27th and are free and open to the public. Groups are
welcome. The locations include: Antioch College, Antioch Inn, 795 Livermore
Street, Yellow Springs, at 8:30 a.m. (Breakfast cost - $2.00); Wilberforce
University, Multiplex Center, 1055 N. Bucket Road, Wilberforce at 10:45 a.m.
(Exhibition Booths and Free 20 Minute HIV Testing); and Wittenberg University,
Koch Hall, Kissell Auditorium, 200 West Ward Street, Springfield at 3:00 p.m.
