Tobacco-Free Healthy Communities Coalition
Offers Smoking Cessation Class for Adults

During April and May

(Xenia, OH) The Tobacco-Free Healthy Communities Coalition, in conjunction with the Greene County Combined Health District is now offering adult smoking cessation classes during the months of April and May.

American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking Program is available to anyone who lives or works in Greene County. Class sessions will be held at the Herman Menapace Center at Greene Memorial Hospital, 1141 N. Monroe Drive, Xenia. Classes are scheduled on the following Tuesdays: April 8th; April 15th; April 22nd; April 29th; May 6th; May 13th; May 20th; and May 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The program fee is $15.00, which includes a workbook and relaxation audiocassette tape.

The Tobacco-Free Healthy Communities Coalition formed as a result of a grant awarded to the Greene County Combined Health District from the Ohio Tobacco Use and Prevention Control Foundation.  The purpose of the grant is to reduce tobacco use among youth, adults, pregnant women and minority populations.
