COMMUNICABLE DISEASE CONTROL
Purpose: To prevent the transmission of
illness and disease by providing immunizations, and to provide
for the diagnosis, and treatment and/or follow-up of communicable
diseases including tuberculosis. Immunization Clinic
Immunizations are provided to Greene County residents regardless
of age. Preschool children may also receive immunizations as part
of the Well Child Clinic.
Communicable Disease Reporting in Greene County
Immunizations available include:
Diphtheria Pertussis Mumps Tetanus
Measles Rubella Hepatitis B Typhoid
Immune Globulin Polio Haemophylis Influenza
Type b Influenza
Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic
This clinic provides diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of
sexually transmitted diseases for residents unable to afford
private medical care.
Tuberculosis (TB) Program
This program provides screening and treatment for active cases
of TB, and conducts evaluations for those individuals who have
come in contact with active TB patients. Program services
include:
TB Skin Tests - available as a screening tool.
TB Chest x-rays - a follow-up measure for residents with
positive skin tests.
TB Chest Clinic - evaluation of suspect or active TB case
by a physician chest-specialist with provision of prescription
medications and further testing as necessary.

Fee: Depends upon service required. All
charges are subject to a sliding fee scale based on income and
family size. No one will be denied service due to inability to
pay. Medicaid is accepted.
