Radon Resistant Construction Seminar Offered Free of Charge

(Xenia, OH) Greene County Combined Health District in partnership with the Ohio Department of Health is presenting a free educational seminar, Radon Resistant Construction, on Monday, June 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  The seminar will be held at the Ohio Valley Builders and Contractors Association, Inc., offices, located at 33 Greenwood Avenue, near the Route 73 and I-75 exchange in Springboro.

Mr. Dan Kinkelaar, a licensed radon mitigation specialist with the state of Ohio, contractor, and owner of Accurate Radon Technologies will address construction methods that prevent radon gas from entering buildings. Radon is a natural, odorless, radioactive gas that poses a risk for lung cancer.

Area builders, contractors, plumbers and architects are invited to attend the seminar. A box lunch will be provided.  This educational opportunity will benefit building professionals that are interested in providing a radon safety option to their clients. Registration is limited.
